Seven Exclusive Fine Art Oil Paintings Prints Done By Marion E. Seward Deushane. She was born on September 20th. 1903 in Cuba Illinois. She died on October 20th, 1992 in Canton Illinois.

She was known to do many one-woman art shows, as well as to demonstrate art at festivals and events. Mrs.Deushane demonstrated art at The Clayville Illinois Fall Festival for many years. The painting Bernadotte Bridge was done during The Spoon River Drive,( Fulton County Illinois), in 1973. She was the art editor for the book New History Of Fulton County (Illinois) and provided many sketches for the book. Her paintings can be found in Businesses, Churches, and many private homes.

Mrs. Deushane grew up in Lewistown, Illinois, and attended school there. Later she continued her studies at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington, where she studied design. She studied art with several noted artists Ed Nicholson portrait artist at Bradley University, and Alfred Chadborn who was known internationally for his still life and landscape paintings. Mr. Chadborn noted she had a good feeling for landscapes and believed her progress would be amazing in the future.

After her University studies Mrs. Deusnane opened a studio in Santa Barbara California and another in Spring Bay, Illinois.
In the early to mid-seventies she received The National Medal of Arts. The National Medal of Arts is the highest award given to artists and arts patrons by the United States Government.
